Albania

Many churches have mission outreaches to impoverished foreign countries, but maybe you’re wondering, “Why Albania?”  In the 1940′s, at 14 years old, Pastor Jesse’s great grandfather, Fahimeh Mamet, escaped the Communist government take-over of Albania by fleeing his homeland and coming to America. When the Communist government fell in the early 1990′s, Pastor Jesse’s parents, Allen and Beverly,  were the first missionaries to travel to Albania to share the Gospel. Since those first early trips, God has raised up a native Albanian, Irfan Taska, to lead the outreach programs, humanitarian aid, and pastor a local church, The Church Of The Resurrection (Kisha E Ringjalljes).

One of the stated goals of the Communist government was to “abolish God from Albania.” Now, after many years of oppression and dictatorship, the hearts of the Albanians are open and receptive to the life changing power of our awesome God. Ovation Church is proud to support Pastor Irfan and The Church Of The Resurrection and show the love of Christ to hurting people in Albania through educational programs for children, ministry to women and mothers, village outreaches, Pastor meetings, and feeding programs.
