Sometimes in our lives we face things that come to an end and we can be totally ruled by what has ended. But what we often fail to understand, is: There is a big difference between the end of a season and the completion of a destiny!
Guest Speaker: Isaiah Shook
What I want to talk about today, I believe is one of the biggest reasons we do not always move into the greater things God has for us.
It is critical that we give attention to this area of our life.
There are some things in your life that will never change until you mature in what we say.
Words are full of power. They can bring life or death, build up or tear down. Relationships can be destroyed or healed by words. People get married and divorced because of words. Words can propel you toward or keep you from your destiny.
Jesus is the name above all names! Jesus is greater than death, sin, sickness…greater than all.
Philippians 2:9-11 (NIV)
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Even though He is the greatest, He gave us the example of a servant
Maybe you are in a season of life where it is hard for you to be optimistic. Maybe a marriage has failed, a relationship ended, maybe finances seem to be getting tighter and tighter, well let me encourage you.
If you are a follower of Christ, if you put your trust in God, your best days are ahead of you not behind you. You were created to be the victor not the victim. God loves you and when He looks at you He sees a champion. He sees potential in you for greater things.
We should never lower our expectations for life. Our God is great and we should have a great expectancy for what is going to happen.

Everything in life is clamoring for your attention. Work, kids, school, friends, family…when we should be sitting at Jesus’ feet listening, we are distracted by all the busyness of life. We have no spiritual margin, we have no room in our lives for God.
Our attitudes should be like John the Baptist’s
John 3:30 (Amplified Bible)
He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.]
Margin – Room For God
The problem is that our culture and society pushes us to live overloaded lives. We wear “BUSY” as a badge of importance.
Trying to do more, have more, achieve more, conquer more than is wise or realistic. I would argue that most of us are living at an unbiblical and unsustainable pace. It’s insane what normal is today.
I am convinced that many of us have fallen victim to the erroneous thought/idea that we need something else/something more than what we have to be satisfied and fulfilled in life.
Margin – A Better Choice
The Bible talks about one specific public action that we are supposed to do after we have surrender our lives to God, the act of baptism.
Your faith in Jesus should be personal, but it should not be private.
Baptism is more than just symbolic. Something is about to happen in the your spirit. Something spiritual is about to happen to you. It’s going to be a you stepping into a new level in your relationship with Christ.
