The Amazing Race – Run To Win, pt.1

The Amazing Race

Being finished minded will enable us to overcome the obstacles and setbacks trying to keep us from winning the race God has set before us. Even the most successful runner, the winner, in the Rat Race will only win a useless prize that will fade away. We Run For An Eternal Prize! We have been called to run with endurance the amazing race God has set before us.

So how are we going to run to win?

How To Ruin Your Life – Negative Thinking, pt.4

How To Ruin Your Life

Negative thoughts are the enemies of victorious life. Since our life is very much determined by our mind, our thoughts can make or break our life.

Knowing how to recognize and overcome negative thoughts may make the difference between a great life and a ruined life.

How To Ruin Your Life – Unforgiveness, pt.3

How To Ruin Your Life

When someone wrongs us, we get mad. We are hurt and confused, often shocked and disappointed. At that point, we are faced with a decision: do we forgive them or do we stay angry? Do we let it go, or do we get even?

This is an issue that each of us deals with. And, we have to deal with it on both sides of the fence.

Understand this, as long as you have breath, you have the potential to hurt or offend someone and to need forgiveness. Also, as long as you have breath, you have the potential to be hurt or offended and need to forgive.

Unforgiveness is a poison that spreads to every area of your life.

When unforgiveness is allowed to remain in our hearts, it produces anger, hate, resentment and bitterness that will ruin our lives.

How To Ruin Your Life – I Had These Friends, pt.2

How To Ruin Your Life

The friendships you develop and maintain will either improve your life or ruin your life.
True friendship is something we regard highly; something we all find desirable and attractive.
Scripture tells us of the importance and value of friendship…

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (New Living Translation)
9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other
succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But
someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

How To Ruin Your Life – OMG, pt.1

How To Ruin Your Life

Most people do not intentionally ruin their life. In fact, many times we make choices that at the time we think will make our lives better; only to find out later that it was a bad choice.

Proverbs 14:12 (New Living Translation)

There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.

We cannot be lead by our own reasoning and feelings and idea of what is right. You really can’t trust yourself to know what is right. You change. What you wanted, liked, thought 5yrs ago is different now.

Why? – The Purpose Of You, pt.3

Why

Think about this with me. Why were we created? What’s the central purpose of our lives, the reason why we exist?

You and I did not evolve randomly from slime. There is a reason and a purpose WHY we were created.

We are NOT created to eat, pray, love for 80yrs then die and stop existing.

You are created for an eternal purpose.

Why? – The Burning Desire, pt.2

Why

WHY will bring clarity and passion to HOW and WHAT you do. Why you do something is about purpose, ambition, conviction and desire. How you do something is about knowledge and understanding.

Today, we are going to unpack the connection between why and desire!  There is nothing wrong with having desires. God even has desires. Paul wrote to Timothy and said that God desires that all men be saved (1 Tim 2:4).

Psalm 20:4 (New Living Translation)
May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.

Why? – The Power of Why?, pt.1

Why

If WHY you should do something becomes real to you, then HOW you should do it will become apparent. WHY will bring clarity and passion to HOW and WHAT you do. Often times when God gives us the desire for a cause or a purpose we focus on the HOW instead of the WHY. But the power isn’t in the HOW we should do something, the power is in the WHY we should do it.
