2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person.
The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
God has made you a new person, with a new purpose. The old you is gone. You are not that person any more. God has pulled you out of darkness and into His marvelous light. You are now someone different.
The work of Christ is not for you to accept who you are, but become who you were meant to be.
Maybe some of you feel like that. You’ve been rejected in life or you didn’t achieve what you wanted to achieve and you thought you could do more and you didn’t and you wake up one day going, “I feel insecure, I feel inadequate, there must be something wrong with me.”
If you’ve ever felt like that, I just want to encourage you today by telling you, you are absolutely right. Yeah, there’s something wrong with you! Because without Christ, there is something wrong with you.
Today, many Christians just don’t really know who they are in Christ. And because they don’t know who they are, they often don’t know what to do.

As representatives of Christ, we must not separate ourselves from the very people we are to influence. We should be able to find beauty in the culture as we engage it to share Christ. As a Church, it is Ovation Church’s desire to not withdraw from culture and isolate ourselves, but to engage culture as to be more effective in sharing, promoting and lifting up Jesus!
Good people do not go to heaven. People who are washed clean do.

The Holy Spirit is God’s gift to us that must be received. I want people to see people surrender to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit causing them to conquer sin, understand scripture, become more like Jesus and be a witness for the Kingdom of God.
