Greater Things – Good and Faithful, pt.4

Jesus is the name above all names! Jesus is greater than death, sin, sickness…greater than all.

Philippians 2:9-11 (NIV)

9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Even though He is the greatest, He gave us the example of a servant

Greater Things – Small Things, pt.3

Greater Things

Zechariah 4:10 (Amplified Bible)
10 Who [with reason] despises the day of small things?

When we despise something we regard it lightly. We take no notice of it and count it as nothing. We do not take care of it. If we don’t take care of what God gives us, we lose it.

Worship with us.

Greater Things – Fight For It, pt.2

Maybe you are in a season of life where it is hard for you to be optimistic. Maybe a marriage has failed, a relationship ended, maybe finances seem to be getting tighter and tighter, well let me encourage you.

If you are a follower of Christ, if you put your trust in God, your best days are ahead of you not behind you. You were created to be the victor not the victim. God loves you and when He looks at you He sees a champion. He sees potential in you for greater things.

We’re Moving!

Brick

This is an exciting time in the life of Ovation Church. We are so grateful for all the lives we have seen changed the last 18 months by the power of God. Along with our gratitude, our hearts are full of excitement and expectation for the greater things God has for us as we transition to our new location.

We are thrilled to announce that we will begin meeting weekly at the new Burleson Recreation Center (the BRiCk) on Sunday, September 19th at 10:30am. We will have three “preview services” and then launch our official BRiCk kick off service on Sunday, October, 10th. (We think it’s kinda cool cause it’s 10/10/2010.)

It’s been said many times, “The church is not a building.” And for us, this move is about more than just a building. This is and opportunity to reach more people with the truth and love of Christ. With this transition we will be positioned to make a greater impact for the cause of Christ.

We have been planning and preparing for such a time as this. We know that greater things are about to happen in families, marriages, our church, and our community.

You can help make it happen!

To make this transition and to do it with excellence that will honor God, will cost $32,000. We already have $15,000 allocated for this. This means we need to raise $17,000 more. When God gives you a vision, He will also give the provision.

Will you ask the Lord what amount He would have you contribute? Our prayer is that God will get the resources to you so that He can get them through you. Your gifts we enable us to move outside the walls of the church and engage our community in a way that makes Jesus attractive.

Be a part of what God is doing in and through Ovation Church by financially supporting the vision through giving online, during a service or by mail.

Greater Things – Great Expectancy, pt.1

GT-thumb

We should never lower our expectations for life. Our God is great and we should have a great expectancy for what is going to happen.

He sees potential in you to do greater things.

New Series: Greater Things

GreaterThings-web-slide

Why is it that some people seem to always have great things happen in their life? Is it luck? Just a coincidence? In this series, Greater Things, Pastor Jesse will challenge us to expend our thinking and look for the possibilities in life that lead to greater things. Join us as we unpack the principles in God’s Word that reveal what is required to experience greater things in our lives.

Margin – Room For God, 08/01/10

Everything in life is clamoring for your attention. Work, kids, school, friends, family…when we should be sitting at Jesus’ feet listening, we are distracted by all the busyness of life. We have no spiritual margin, we have no room in our lives for God.

Our attitudes should be like John the Baptist’s

John 3:30 (Amplified Bible)
He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.]
