One Prayer, 06/27/10

This week we will be hearing from Steven Furtick, lead pastor of Elevation Church,  and looking at how God uses people. Many people walk through life thinking that following Jesus is lifeless, adventureless, passionless and boring. Yet, all through Scripture we see the opposite. Why is that? Where have we lost the expectation, anticipation of the power of God?

This has huge implications for not only our church but for us as individuals, especially when it comes to how God works in our lives and uses us.

What if, you were able to unlock the power of God in your life so that God used you in powerful ways, just like those in Scripture.

He is the senior pastor of Hillsong Church in Sydney,  Australia.

In his One Prayer message, Pastor Brian is going to talk about living an unstoppable life. We all have seasons we go through in our lives and Pastor Brian is going to show us that even though it can be difficult when those seasons come to end, we must realize that those endings do not represent the end of our ultimate mission from God. He will show us that “the end of an era is not the completion of your destiny.”

Youth Trip To NRH2O

If you are 12-18yrs, join the OvationYouth for a fun-filled trip to NRH2O (water park) on Saturday, July 24th. We’ll meet at the church at 1:00pm and  return around 9pm. Tickets are $16 per person and the church will cover the transportation and food for the day. You can sign up and pay online or during church on or before Sunday, July 18th.  To ensure the group discount, invite your friends and let us know that you are coming as soon as possible! Couples Dinner & Theater – July 31st

Saturday, July 31th the married and dating couples are going out for a night of fun. We will be going to dinner at Mi Familia www.gomifamilia.com then it is off to the Plaza Theatre www.plaza-theatre.com in Cleburne to see “All Shook Up”. When you are passionate, you understand failure is not final, and you will not allow any obstacle to keep you from the object of your passion.

As Christians, we are called to live a life of Unstoppable Passion!
