One Prayer, 06/27/10

This week we will be hearing from Steven Furtick, lead pastor of Elevation Church,  and looking at how God uses people. Many people walk through life thinking that following Jesus is lifeless, adventureless, passionless and boring. Yet, all through Scripture we see the opposite. Why is that? Where have we lost the expectation, anticipation of the power of God?

This has huge implications for not only our church but for us as individuals, especially when it comes to how God works in our lives and uses us.

What if, you were able to unlock the power of God in your life so that God used you in powerful ways, just like those in Scripture.

One Prayer, 06/20/10

This weeks message is brought to us by Pastor Brian Houston.

He is the senior pastor of Hillsong Church in Sydney,  Australia.

In his One Prayer message, Pastor Brian is going to talk about living an unstoppable life. We all have seasons we go through in our lives and Pastor Brian is going to show us that even though it can be difficult when those seasons come to end, we must realize that those endings do not represent the end of our ultimate mission from God. He will show us that “the end of an era is not the completion of your destiny.”

“All Shook Up”
In 1955, a mysterious motorcycling stranger comes to a square town in a square state and changes it and the lives of everyone he meets forever. This loopy tale of mismatched lovers in a Midwest burg incorporates classics that range from sweet romantic ballads like “Love Me Tender” to the rollicking “Devil in Disguise.” Not to mention other hits like “Jailhouse Rock,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and “Don’t be Cruel.” Driven by sidesplitting tongue-in-cheek humor, The King’s chart-toppers, and a tinge of genuine heart, All Shook Up is destined to become a Plaza classic. The story is all new – the hits are all Elvis!

Today we are going to be talking about unstoppable passion. Passion is a powerful force. When someone is passionate about achieving something, they will not take no for an answer.

When you are passionate, you understand failure is not final, and you will not allow any obstacle to keep you from the object of your passion.

As Christians, we are called to live a life of Unstoppable Passion!
