You Asked For It, 05/30/10

Today we are going to answer the question, “Can Christians drink alcohol.”  This was the #1 question you asked for!

Most likely you already have an opinion about what you think the Bible says about drinking alcohol. You probably fall into one of these categories;
1. It is wrong to drink
2. As long as you don’t get drunk
3. Not sure…you can go either way

Acts 2:44-47 (New International Version)
44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Let’s break this down and see what the Bible has to say about this topic.

You Asked For It, 05/16/10

We are continuing series of talks titled, “You Asked For It” and today we will be answering the question of divorce and remarriage. Is divorce and remarriage a sin?

This is a very relevant question for our time and culture, although this is not a new question.

The Bible addresses the topic of divorce and remarriage in both the Old and New Testaments.

Is it a sin to get tattoos and piercings? Is it ok for a Christian to get a tattoo or piercing?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT)
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price.

So you must honor God with your body. It is important that we know what honers God and, regardless how we feel, do the things that please Him. The idea, “It’s my body, I can do whatever I want!” just doesn’t cut it. As Christians it must be our priority to please God with our bodies. To determine what honors and pleases God, we turn to the Word of God.

So today we will go to the scripture to seek out if tattoos are pleasing to God or not pleasing to God.

This is EPIC! People are leaving churches by the droves because it is often irrelevant and doesn’t answer any of the questions people are asking about their life.

1 Kings 10 – Queen Sheba visits the temple to ask King Solomon HARD QUESTIONS and scripture tells us that he answered them all. So, in this series, we are going to answer the questions you have thrown at us.

Today we are going to answer the question many Christians have asked before, “Can I Lose My Salvation?
