The Best Question Ever, 04/25/10

Ephesians 5:15-17 (NLT)
15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

Today I want us to ask the question:
What Is The Wise Thing For Me To Do With My Time?

Ephesians 5:16 Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.

It denotes a careful and diligent use of it, an improvement of it to the best advantage; and shows that it is valuable and precious, and is not to be trifled with, and squandered away, and be lost, as it may be; for it can neither be recalled nor prolonged.

The Best Question Ever, 04/18/10

Today we are going ask The Best Question Ever from three different angles. These three angles will give you very unique insight into what the wise thing is for you to do.
John 21:18-23 is the story of Jesus telling Peter some of the trials he would have and the kind of death he would have and Peter asked, “What about John?”
Peter was making the same mistake many us also make when it comes to  decisions and how to live. He was comparing himself to someone else.

When it comes to asking The Best Question Ever, we need to have the attitude, “It’s not you, it’s me.”

The Best Question Ever, 04/11/10

Best-Question

What if there was a way to evaluate your options and always make the right choice? What if there was a way to avoid dumb mistakes?

Proverbs 14:12 (NLT)
There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.

What if there was a question that when the answer is properly acted on would lead us down the path that ends with us being happy with our choices?
What if there was a way to live a life that in the end not only pleases yourself, but also pleases the Lord?

Because He Was I Am, 04/04/10

I want to start with something Jesus said:
Revelation 1:17-18 (New Living Translation)
Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.

Don’t underestimate the power of Jesus!

When Jesus was arrested, Scripture tells us that his disciples ran and deserted Him. They were scared, felt powerless. It looked hopeless, but Jesus wasn’t done. And, Jesus isn’t done with you yet.  His disciples thought it was too late, but Jesus was more powerful than death.
