Let’s start today by thinking about what it takes to be an US.

The term US means you identify with a team, category, or a segment of people. When you say US you are saying you are part of a group. The term US signifies there is a common goal or a common purpose. You identify yourself as being a part of something bigger.

US can represent a large group.

When Jesus was praying the last time before being arrested, he said he was sending us out just as he was sent. Then Jesus said he wasn’t only thing of the disciples with him but of the future followers who would believe.

John 17:18 (New Living Translation)
18 Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.

Let’s look at how God sent Jesus into this world.

God is all powerful. We are told in the Scripture that nothing in impossible for our God. There is no limit to God’s strength.

This isn’t going to come as a shock to most of you, but we are limited. There is only so much that we can do. When we come to the end of our ability, if you are like me, you ask for help.

But because we understand that God is all powerful, often times we lose sight of the fact that He wants our help. He wants to include us in accomplishing His plan.

Everybody eventually surrenders to something or someone. If not to God, you will surrender to the opinions or expectations of others, to money, to resentment, to fear, or to your own pride, lusts, or ego.

The word “Surrender” isn’t used in the Bible very much, but the truth about being Surrendered to God is all throughout the Scriptures. Sometimes it’s called “worship”, “consecration”, “serve”, “take up your cross”, “die to self”, “making Jesus lord”, “bow down.”

What you call it doesn’t matter, that you do it does.

I want to challenge you to be 100% surrendered to God. It’s possible to be partially surrendered to God. It’s like a kamikaze pilot who is flying his 7th mission.

Love the Lord with all of your heart, mind and soul. That’s a person who is 100% surrendered to God.
